Laver Cup Men's Singles 2025 Tennis Betting Odds, Tips & Live Stream

The Laver Cup is an annual men’s tennis tournament. While it’s one of the newest tennis tournaments, it’s also one of the most compelling tournaments outside of the Grand Slams and the ATP Finals. Rather than being an individual competition like most tennis tournaments, it’s a team event between the top European players and the top players from the rest of the world.

Signing up at Stake Sportsbook is the best way to bet on the 2025 Laver Cup. Of course, before you make your first wager, read our sports betting guide to teach you everything you need to know about tennis odds, tennis betting, and the Laver Cup right here at Stake.

Introduction to the Laver Cup Tennis Tournament

The Laver Cup is a team tennis competition between Team Europe and Team World. Many consider it to be the Ryder Cup of tennis because the top players in Europe compete against the top players from the rest of the world. Unlike the Davis Cup, which features more than a dozen national teams, the Laver Cup is just a two-team competition. The Laver Cup also differs from other tournaments because it’s played at venues that don’t typically host ATP Tour events.

When is the Laver Cup 2025?

The 2025 Laver Cup will take place from September 19-21, 2025. It will be played in the United States at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

History of the Laver Cup

The Laver Cup was first held in 2017 and became an officially sanctioned ATP event in 2019. Outside of 2020, when it was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been held every year since 2017. Team Europe won the first four editions of the Laver Cup, with Team World getting its first two victories in 2022 and 2023. However, Team Europe won the tournament in 2024, making them the reigning champs ahead of the 2025 Laver Cup. Team Europe has also won five of the seven Laver Cups.

Who is Playing in the Laver Cup 2025?

The 2025 Laver Cup features six players on each team who are selected by the team captains. Yannick Noah is the captain of Team Europe, while Andre Agassi is the captain of Team World.

These are the six players on Team Europe:

  • Carlos Alcaraz

  • Alexander Zverev

  • Holger Rune

  • Casper Ruud

  • Jakub Mensik

  • Flavio Cobolli

These are the six players on Team World:

  • Taylor Fritz

  • Francisco Cerundolo

  • Frances Tiafoe

  • Alex Michelsen

  • Joao Fonseca

  • Reilly Opelka

Among the 2025 participants, Zverev is the most experienced in Laver Cups. He’s participated in all five tournaments won by Team Europe. Ruud also has four appearances and has been a part of two tournament titles. For Team World, Tiafoe and Fritz have five and four Laver Cup appearances, respectively. Both players have been a part of the Team World’s only two Laver Cup championships.

Format and Schedule of the Laver Cup

The Laver Cup takes place over three days from September 19 to September 21, 2025. It features both singles matches and doubles matches. There are just four matches played each day, three singles matches and one doubles match.

The team captains decide the night before which players will participate in the matches. Each match win on the first day is worth one point; on the second day, it is worth two points, and on the third day, it is worth three points. The team that reaches 13 points first wins the tournament.

Laver Cup Betting Tips & Strategies

Before you start betting on the Laver Cup, you should have a strategy in mind. You may want to come up with your own system or use a trusted method like the Kelly Criterion System to make tennis bets. When it comes to the Laver Cup specifically, here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • The Laver Cup is a pressure-filled tournament, so look at how each player has performed in Grand Slams and other major tournaments in the past.

  • Don’t rely solely on a player’s career track record. Look closely at how they have performed in recent tournaments to determine if one player has been struggling or on an impressive hot streak.

  • For doubles matches, research whether the two players paired together have played doubles together before and how successful that pairing has been in the past.
